Four Drown in the Black Sea
(VARNA) - Four men have drowned in the Black Sea today, and reports say two Polish holidaymakers are among the dead. One of the victims was the father of two teenagers who were pulled out tp safety by the coast guard.In another incident a 19-year-old man drowned on the beach in Kranevo.And up north, in Ravda, a 46-year-old man aslo drowned. EC release 1.5 bln EUR for Bulgarian roads
The European commission has waived the ban on construction of roads under operation programs “Regional development” and “Transport”, informed the chairman of the Supervision council of National agency “Road infrastructure” Ivan Atanassov after inspection of the construction on “Lyulin” highway.Yesterday a letter was received from “Regional development” directorate general which points that Bulgaria can open procedures under both operational programs.

Stanishev supported Barroso for a second term
The Bulgarian prime minister Sergei Stanishev supported the candidature of Jose Manuel Barroso for a second term for the post of chairman of the European commission.He has always supported Bulgaria’s EU membership, the PM gave his reasons. The Belgian business interested in Burgas
Representatives of 35 companies from Burgas made contact and spoke with the Belgian delegation which visited Burgas. The delegation was led by the mayor of Ghent Daniel Termont. Sofia airport accounted for a downturn in the May indicators
Sofia airport marks downturn in all indicators. Regarding the traffic of the planes the reduction is with 5%, the serviced passengers – 6%, the processed cargo – 26% compared to May last year. 500 000 euro to be invested in a new mineral water plant
500 000 euro will be invested by “Aquabul” company in the next two years for the establishment of a new mineral water plant in Northeastern Bulgaria. Yesterday the Council of ministers approved the giving on 25-year concession of part of the mineral water in region “Northeast Bulgaria”, writes “Standard” newspaper. The determined total annual exploitation resource for yielding from drilling is 94 608 m3.

For 6 months BNB has funded the deficit on the payment balance with 3 bln euro
The Bulgarian national bank has funded the deficit in the payment balance with 3 billion euro for the last quarter of 2008 and the first quarter of 2009. This said in an interview for DarikFinance.bg the financial expert Garabed Minasyan from the economic institute at the Bulgarian academy of science. According to him the most undesired condition of the payment balance is when there is deficit both on the current and the financial account.

Bulgaria cooperates with Romania & Serbia on grave crimes
Bulgaria, Serbia and Romania will have a joint contact center for customs and police cooperation.The government approved the draft agreement for the establishment of the center in Vidin, Bulgaria, informed BNR.The officers from the three countries will exchange information in it in order to support the counteraction against grave crimes. Karatancheva one step from the main Wimbledon scheme
Cecil Karatancheva, who is competing for Kazkhstan, is only one victory from second participation in the main Wimbledon scheme. The 19-year old tennis player defeated the American Lilia Osterlo with 6:2, 6:1 in the second round of the qualifications.
